WNBA announces schedule of 20 games to be streamed live on Twitter for 2018 regular season

NEW YORK – The WNBA today announced the 20 games that will be live streamed on Twitter during the 2018 season.  Twitter will return for its second consecutive season of live game coverage with four games on Sunday, May 20, followed by games each Tuesday and a season finale on Sunday, Aug. 19.

Twitter’s four-game schedule on May 20 helps headline #WNBAAllDay, when all 12 teams will be in action as part of WNBA Tip-Off 2018 presented by Verizon.  The action on Twitter will start with the Las Vegas Aces visiting the Connecticut Sun at 1 p.m. ET, followed by the Dallas Wings hosting the Atlanta Dream at 3 p.m. ET.  Later, the New York Liberty will visit the Chicago Sky at 7 p.m. ET and the Phoenix Mercury will host the Seattle Storm at 9 p.m. ET.

Every WNBA team will make at least two game appearances on Twitter during the league’s 22nd season.  In addition to Twitter, WNBA games can be seen on ESPN2, NBA TV, WNBA League Pass and the ESPN App this season.

During its inaugural season on Twitter, the WNBA averaged 613,000 unique viewers per game for its 20-game schedule.  The Mercury vs. the Wings (5/14/17), the San Antonio Stars vs. the Wings (5/25/17) and the Mercury vs. the Minnesota Lynx (7/14/17) were the three most-viewed games of the 2017 season, averaging 1.1 million unique viewers.
