NEW YORK – Terrico White of the Bakersfield Jam was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Monday, March 14 through Sunday, March 20. It’s the second Performer of the Week award for White this season.

White (6-5, 213, Mississippi) helped Bakersfield to a 2-1 week, averaging 29.7 points (tied for fourth) on 62.1 percent shooting to go with 7.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals. He connected on 10-of-22 three-point attempts.

On March 17, he recorded 30 points, seven rebounds and seven assists while connecting on 5-of-8 attempts from behind the arc in a 107-105 win over the Texas Legends. On March 20, he scored 25 points to go with nine rebounds, three steals and two assists in a 103-73 victory over the Austin Spurs. The back-to-back victories helped keep Bakersfield in the playoff hunt, trailing the Rio Grande Valley Vipers by three games for the second wildcard spot in the Western Conference.

White returned to the NBA D-League this season after playing the past three seasons abroad. He was originally selected in the 2010 NBA Draft with the 36^th overall selection by the Detroit Pistons and appeared in 18 games during the 2011-12 season for the Idaho Stampede. For the season, he is averaging 18.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals.

Other top performers considered were Delaware’s Christian Wood and Russ Smith, Los Angeles’ Vander Blue, Idaho’s Treveon Graham, Iowa’s James Ennis, Reno’s David Stockton, Rio Grande Valley’s Jaron Johnson, Sioux Falls’ Jarnell Stokes, Texas’ Tu Holloway and Westchester’s Jimmer Fredette.
