Nets’ Brook Lopez, Warriors’ Draymond Green named NBA Players of the Week
NEW YORK – The Brooklyn Nets’ Brook Lopez and the Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green were today named NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Dec. 28 through Sunday, Jan. 3.
Lopez led the Nets to a 2-1 week behind averages of 26.7 points (second in the Eastern Conference), 13.3 rebounds (third in the conference) and 3.67 blocks (second in the conference). He made 60.9 percent of his field goals, sixth best in the East. Lopez recorded point-rebound double-doubles in all three contests, including his 30-point, 13-rebound effort in a 100-97 win over the Boston Celtics on Jan. 2.
Green helped the Warriors to a 3-1 week behind averages of 18.8 points, 11.3 rebounds (tied-fourth in the Western Conference) and 9.5 rebounds (fourth in the conference). Green recorded two triple-doubles, raising his league-leading total to six on the season. On Jan. 2, Green powered the Warriors with 29 points, 17 rebounds and 14 assists in a 111-108 overtime win against the Denver Nuggets.

Dec. 28 @ Miami: Tallied 26 points, 12 rebounds and two steals during a 111-105 win over the Heat.
Dec. 30 @ Orlando: Posted 24 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks during a 100-93 loss to the Magic.
Jan. 2 @ Boston: Recorded 30 points and 13 rebounds during a 100-97 win over the Celtics.
Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors
Dec. 28 vs. Sacramento: Scored 25 points and added eight rebounds and four assists in a 122-103 win over the Kings.
Dec. 31 @ Houston Recorded a triple-double with 10 points, 16 assists and 11 rebounds during a 114-110 win over the Rockets.
Jan. 2 vs. Denver: Tallied a second consecutive triple-double with 29 points, 17 rebounds and 14 assists in a 111-108 overtime win against the Nuggets.
