Sioux Falls’ DeAndre Liggins named NBA D-League Performer of the Week
NEW YORK – Sioux Falls guard DeAndre Liggins was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Monday, Dec. 21 through Sunday, Dec. 27. This is the second Performer of Week award for Liggins of his D-League career. He previously received the honor on Dec. 30, 2013 also as a member of Sioux Falls.
Liggins (6-6, 204, Kentucky) led Sioux Falls to a 3-0 week, averaging 17.3 points on 44.0 percent shooting from the floor (16-for-36) to go with 9.0 assists, 8.7 rebounds and 3.3 steals. He connected on seven of his 15 shots from beyond the arc (46.7 percent). On Dec. 27, he recorded his second triple-double of the season with 14 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds in a 106-101 victory over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
For the season, Liggins is averaging 13.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 7.1 assists (ranks third in the league) and 2.5 steals (ranks second in the league). He has two triple-doubles on the season. They are the only two triple-doubles to be a recorded so far this season.
