Grizzlies’ Dillon Brooks suspended
NEW YORK – Memphis Grizzlies guard-forward Dillon Brooks has been suspended one game without pay for receiving his 16th technical foul of the 2022-23 season, it was announced today by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations.
Under NBA rules, a player or coach is automatically suspended without pay for one game once he receives his 16th technical foul during a regular season. For every two additional technical fouls received during that regular season, the player or coach will be automatically suspended without pay for an additional game.
Brooks received his most recent technical foul with 5:45 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Grizzlies’ 113-97 loss to the Denver Nuggets on March 3 at Ball Arena.
Brooks will serve his suspension March 5 when the Grizzlies visit the LA Clippers at Crypto.com Arena.
