NBA announces penalties from Jazz-Pistons game
NEW YORK – Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson, Detroit Pistons forward Ron Holland II and center Paul Reed have been fined for their roles in an on-court altercation, it was announced today by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations.
Clarkson has been fined $35,000 for escalating an on-court altercation and throwing his headband into the spectator stands following his ejection.
Holland II has been fined $25,000 for escalating an on-court altercation and Reed has been fined $15,000 for initiating the altercation.
The incident, for which both Clarkson and Holland II were assessed technical fouls and ejected, occurred with 1:37 remaining in the third quarter of the Jazz’s 126-119 victory over the Pistons on Dec. 19 at Little Caesars Arena. Reed was assessed a technical foul for his role in the incident.
