Wizards’ John Wall, Trail Blazers’ LaMarcus Aldridge named NBA Players of the Week
NEW YORK – The Washington Wizards’ John Wall and the Portland Trail Blazers’ LaMarcus Aldridge today were named NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Nov. 18, through Sunday, Nov. 24.
Wall led the Wizards to a 3-1 week with averages of 24.3 points (fourth in the conference), 8.5 assists (third in the conference) and 2.75 steals (fifth in the conference). He played 39.8 minutes per game. Wall posted back-to-back point-assist double-doubles to open the week in wins over the Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers. He closed the week with back-to-back 30-plus point performances in a loss to the Toronto Raptors and a win over the New York Knicks.
Aldridge led the Trail Blazers to a 4-0 week behind averages of 22.5 points (tied-fourth in the conference), 10.5 rebounds and 1.75 blocks (10th in the conference). He played 37.7 minutes per game. Aldridge set season-highs in points (30), rebounds (21), and blocks (three) while tying a season high in steals (three) on Nov. 23 in a 113-101 win over the Golden State Warriors.

Nov. 20 @ Milwaukee: Tallied 21 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals during a 91-82 win over the Bucks.
Nov. 23 @ Golden State: Posted 30 points, 21 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and three steals in a 113-101 win over the Warriors.
