Cavaliers’ LeBron James, Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard named NBA Players of the Week
NEW YORK – The Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James and the Portland Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard today were named NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Nov. 10, through Sunday, Nov. 16.
James helped the Cavaliers to a 3-0 week, which included wins over the New Orleans Pelicans and Atlanta Hawks, behind a league-leading 35.0 points. James placed third in the Eastern Conference in assists at 7.7 apg, eighth in field goal percentage at .594, eighth in minutes at 36.7 mpg and added 7.0 rebounds. James scored a season-high 41 points and added seven assists and four rebounds on Nov. 14, during a 122-121 win over the Boston Celtics.
Lillard led the Trail Blazers to a 3-0 week behind averages of 28.0 points (second in the conference) and 8.7 assists (third in the conference). He also placed fifth in the conference in three-point percentage at .700 (14-of-20). With LaMarcus Aldridge out of the lineup, Lillard’s 28 points (4-of-6 three-point field goals), 10 assists and five rebounds lifted Portland to a 97-87 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Nov.15 to cap the undefeated week.

Nov. 14 @ Boston: Paired 41 points with seven assists during a 122-121 victory over the Celtics.
Nov. 15 vs. Atlanta: Tallied 32 points, seven assists and six rebounds in a 127-94 win over the Hawks.
Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers
Nov. 11 vs. Charlotte: Scored 29 points and added seven assists, four rebounds and two steals in a 102-100 win over the Hornets.
Nov. 12 @ Denver: Posted 27 points (5-of-6 three-point field goals), nine assists, five rebounds and two steals in a 130-113 win over the Nuggets.
Nov. 15 @ vs. Brooklyn: Tallied 28 points, 10 assists and five rebounds in a 97-87 win over the Nets.
