NEW YORK – Los Angeles Lakers head coach Luke Walton has been fined $15,000 for verbally abusing a game official and not leaving the court in a timely manner after his ejection, it was announced today by Kiki VanDeWeghe, Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.

The incident occurred with 4:14 remaining in the first quarter of the Lakers’ 116-92 loss to the Sacramento Kings on Dec. 12 at Golden 1 Center.
