NEW YORK – Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart has been fined $25,000 for initiating an on-court altercation and pulling Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young to the floor, it was announced today by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations.

The incident, for which both players were assessed a technical foul and Smart was ejected, occurred with 1:25 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Celtics’ 134-125 win over the Hawks on March 11 at State Farm Arena.
