First-ever NBA Awards: Red Carpet LIVE Show to stream across Facebook, Twitter and YouTube

Turner Sports and the NBA today announced that NBA Awards: Red Carpet LIVE will take place on Monday, June 24 at 8 p.m. ET before the 2019 NBA Awards Presented by Kia on TNT.  For the first time, NBA Awards: Red Carpet LIVE will stream across multiple platforms, including NBA on TNT’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages, B/R Basketball’s Facebook and Twitter handles and NBA.com.

Hosted by comedian Tony Rock, Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks and Turner Sports’ Allie LaForce, the show will provide complete coverage of the red carpet, including real-time fan reactions, an up-close look at the night’s fashion, celebrity interactions and more. Ro Parrish will serve as the DJ for the red carpet.

Additionally, celebrities will be able to show off their fresh footwear with the “Kick Cam,” a close-up camera displaying attendees’ stylish kicks for the night.  B/R Kicks will also hand out the inaugural “Kicks Award” live on the red carpet to the NBA player who showed the most creativity with his footwear during the 2018-19 NBA season.

The 2019 NBA Awards on TNT, airing at 9 p.m. and hosted by Shaquille O’Neal, will honor the league’s top performers from the 2018-19 NBA season, including the exclusive unveiling of the Kia NBA MVP, Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Kia NBA Rookie of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Award, among others. The night will once again feature current and former NBA players, coaches and celebrity attendees.

As previously announced, basketball icons Larry Bird and Magic Johnson will be co-recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award and Good Morning America co-host Robin Roberts will receive the Sager Strong Award, presented annually to an individual who has been a trailblazer while exemplifying courage, faith, compassion and grace.

The night’s presenters will include Samuel L. Jackson, Tiffany Haddish, Charles Barkley, Hasan Minhaj, Justin Hartley, Issa Rae, Candace Parker, Ashley Graham and Amanda Seales. Additionally, Marv Albert will serve as the live show announcer, models Jesse Conrad and Hilary Cruz will serve as trophy presenters and DJ Kiss will provide the musical backdrop for the night.
