NBA to bring more than 250 of the best team entertainers and game-presentation personnel to NBA All-Star 2017 in New Orleans

NEW YORKThe NBA will be bringing some of the best entertainment acts, game-presentation producers and directors from all 30 teams to New Orleans for NBA All-Star 2017.  More than 250 team in-game entertainers and personnel will join the league as it puts on the 66th annual game and surrounding events Feb. 17-19.

The idea was born out of the league’s Game Presentation Advisory Committee, formed in 2016 and featuring 10 game-presentation directors from teams across the league who share best practices on a weekly basis.

“With 41 home games per year, our teams are experts at hosting live events,” said Danny Meiseles, NBA President and Executive Producer, Content.  “What better way to supplement NBA All-Star – our marquee midseason event – than by employing the help of these incredible producers, directors and entertainers.”
While the NBA has used in-game producers from various NBA teams for past All-Star games, this is the second year the Game Presentation Advisory Committee has selected working entertainment staff for All-Star. Last year, more than 120 team staff worked at various events throughout NBA All-Star 2016 in Toronto, the first NBA All-Star held outside of the United States.
