Ignite signs NBA G League veteran Gabe York
HENDERSON, Nev. – NBA G League Ignite has signed veteran NBA G League guard Gabe York, Ignite General Manager Anthony McClish announced today.
York, who led the NBA G League in steals while playing for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in 2022-23, joins Ignite after spending the past eight seasons playing professionally overseas and in the NBA G League. York appeared in five NBA games over the course of two seasons (2021-22 and 2022-23) with the Indiana Pacers.
Following a standout career at the University of Arizona, York has appeared in 146 games over four seasons with the Erie BayHawks, Lakeland Magic and Mad Ants, holding career averages of 18.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.6 steals.
York will be available to make his season debut during tonight’s home game against the Iowa Wolves at The Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nev.
In a related roster move, Ignite has waived center Eric Mika.
