NBA G League Ignite signs NBA champion Norris Cole
HENDERSON, Nev. – NBA G League Ignite has signed six-year NBA veteran guard Norris Cole, Ignite General Manager Anthony McClish announced today.
Cole, a two-time NBA champion (2012, 2013) with the Miami Heat, joins the 2023-24 Ignite team after spending the past six seasons playing professionally overseas and in the NBA G League.
Cole, the 28th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft following a standout career at Cleveland State, played six seasons in the NBA with the Heat, New Orleans Pelicans and Oklahoma City Thunder. Cole appeared in 360 games (60 starts) and holds career averages of 7.0 points, 2.7 assists and 2.0 rebounds.
Cole’s NBA G League experience includes a 13-game stint with the Grand Rapids Gold during the 2022-23 season in which he averaged 7.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals.
Cole will be available for the Ignite’s upcoming three-game series against the Stockton Kings beginning on Friday, Dec. 1 at Stockton Arena in Stockton, Calif.
