Ignite to host Victor Wembanyama and Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92 in preseason games
HENDERSON, Nev. – Top 2023 NBA Draft prospects Scoot Henderson of NBA G League Ignite and Victor Wembanyama of Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92 will headline a pair of preseason games on Tuesday, Oct. 4 and Thursday, Oct. 6 at The Dollar Loan Center, Ignite’s new home in Henderson, Nev.
“We’re committed to helping our Ignite players develop against top talent as they prepare for NBA careers,” said NBA G League President Shareef Abdur-Rahim. “With these preseason games, we’re excited to offer a platform to some of the best young prospects from around the world to showcase their talents.”
Broadcast information will be announced at a later date. Season ticket deposits are available now at TheDollarLoanCenter.com, and single-game tickets for both games will be available on the site beginning Sept. 19.
Based in Paris, Metropolitans 92 plays in the Betclic Élite (LNB A), the top tier of the French League. In addition to the 7-2 Wembanyama, the roster includes 2019-20 NBA G League Rookie of the Year and former NBA guard Tremont Waters, former Philadelphia 76ers and Delaware Blue Coats guard Aaron Henry and guard Hugo Besson, who was selected by the Indiana Pacers with the 58th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
Henderson, who returns to the NBA G League for a second season, leads an Ignite roster that features talented 2023 NBA Draft prospects including Canadian standout Leonard Miller, NBA Academy graduate Mojave King, French U18 National Team star Sidy Cissoko and former Washington State forward Efe Abogidi. As the youngest player in the G League last season, Henderson averaged 14.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists.
