Ignite signs NBA G League champion Michael Frazier II
HENDERSON, Nev. – NBA G League Ignite has signed NBA G League champion (2019) Michael Frazier II, Ignite General Manager Anthony McClish announced today.
Frazier, the 2018-19 NBA G League Most Improved Player, joins Ignite after spending the past nine years playing professionally overseas and in the NBA G League.
The 6-4 guard from Tampa, Fla., spent four years in the NBA G League with five teams, including stops with the South Bay Lakers, Iowa Wolves, Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Delaware Blue Coats. During his time in the G League, Frazier appeared in 110 games (64 starts) and registered career averages of 12.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists on 43.3 shooting from the field, including 35.8 percent from the three-point line.
Frazier’s NBA experience includes a 13-game stint with the Houston Rockets during the 2019-20 season, in which he averaged 2.1 points and 0.8 rebounds.
In a corresponding roster move, the team has waived guard David Stockton.
