NBA and Zignia Live announce multiyear extension to bring more NBA games to Mexico
MEXICO CITY – The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Zignia Live today announced a multiyear extension to continue to bring live NBA games to Mexico for the next several years.
The announcement was made prior to The NBA Mexico City Game 2024 presented by Michelob Ultra, which will feature the Miami Heat and the Washington Wizards playing a regular-season game hosted by Zignia Live at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City today at 7:30 p.m. CST. The NBA Mexico City Game 2024 presented by Michelob Ultra, which will air live in Mexico on ESPN and NBA League Pass, marks the league’s 33rd game in Mexico since 1992 – more than any country outside of the U.S. and Canada – and will coincide with traditional “Día de Muertos” (Day of the Dead) celebrations locally.
The renewal extends the longstanding relationship between the NBA and Zignia Live that began with The NBA Mexico Game 2012 and reflects both organizations’ commitment to growing the game of basketball in Mexico. In addition to live games, the collaboration will also feature fan engagement activities, community outreach programs and basketball development events that will deepen the connection between Mexican fans and the NBA and encourage the development of young basketball talent across the country.
