Pacers’ Paul George, Thunder’s Kevin Durant named Kia NBA Players of the Month
NEW YORK – The Indiana Pacers’ Paul George and the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant were today named the Kia NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Month, respectively, for games played in October/November.
George led the Pacers to a league-best 15-1 (.938) record, scoring in double figures in all 16 outings, including 13 games with 20-or-more points. George ranked fifth in the league in scoring (23.6 ppg) and was tied for seventh in steals (2.13 spg), while adding 6.1 rpg and 3.3 apg. George averaged 14.8 points and shot 51 percent from the floor in the second half of games in October and November. He recorded back-to-back double-doubles vs. Cleveland (Nov. 2) and Detroit (Nov. 5).
Durant guided the Thunder to an 11-3 record to start the season, including an 8-0 mark at Chesapeake Energy Arena, the best home start in the team’s Oklahoma City era. Durant paced the NBA in scoring (28.3 ppg) on the back of six 30-plus-point performances, including a season-high 42 points in a 101-98 win over the Utah Jazz on Oct. 30. Additionally, he recorded six double-doubles during October and November.

Nov. 10 vs. Washington: Recorded 33 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and a block in a 106-105 overtime victory over the Wizards
