Raptors 905 select 16 players in 2015 NBA D-League expansion draft
NEW YORK – Raptors 905, the NBA Development League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors, have selected the rights to 16 players in the 2015 NBA Development League Expansion Draft. The team will hold the rights to those players for two seasons.
The selections made in today’s Expansion Draft were from a pool of players from 2013-14 and 2014-15 NBA D-League rosters. Each 2014-15 NBA D-League team was able to protect the rights of up to 12 players and the Raptors 905 were able to select up to 16 unprotected players, with no more than two selections coming from any one NBA D-League team.
The Raptors 905, the record 19th team playing in the NBA D-League for the 2015-16 season, will play their home games at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga, Ontario beginning in November.
