Miami – Skootz, an emerging sports accessory company, and the National Basketball Association (NBA) have teamed up to debut innovative shoelace replacement gear “Replacez”. The new NBA “Replacez” gear consists of banded elastic straps with a patent-pending snap-in attachment that weaves directly through the eyelets of any laced shoe. The company’s trend-setting design will allow NBA fans to “Replace the Lace” with full-color sets of their favorite teams’ primary logos.

To coincide with the 2013 NBA Finals, Skootz will release specially designed Replacez for Miami Heat fans featuring the team’s logo across six white bands. The Replace the Lace system will be available online at http://www.themiamiheatstore.com/ and in Miami Heat stores at AmericanAirlines Arena, Miami International Airport, and Dolphin Mall.

Skootz will also release branded Replacez gear for additional NBA teams online and throughout retail locations during the 2013-14 NBA season.
