Tissot expands global multiyear marketing partnerships with NBA, WNBA and NBA G League

PARIS AND LE LOCLE, SWITZERLAND – Today, Tissot, the National Basketball Association (NBA), Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and NBA G League announced a multiyear extension of their global marketing partnerships that began in 2015. The expanded collaboration will feature the introduction of a redesigned, state-of-the-art shot clock and timing system, the launch of the new Tissot NBA Supersport 2025 Special Edition watch and will make Tissot the presenting partner of an NBA Global Game in Europe for the next 10 years.
The announcement was made by Tissot CEO Sylvain Dolla, NBA President of Global Partnerships Salvatore LaRocca and Tissot Ambassadors, NBA legend Tony Parker and 2024 WNBA Champion Sabrina Ionescu, at a demonstration of the new shot clock prior to The NBA Paris Games 2025 presented by Tissot, featuring the Indiana Pacers and the San Antonio Spurs playing two regular-season games at the Accor Arena on Thursday, Jan. 23 and Saturday, Jan. 25.
“This new shot clock is a testament of our commitment to being an integral part of the game,” said Dolla. “We want to keep contributing to enhancing the fan experience. Through the shot clock and the Official Watch that are perfect synergies between Tissot and the NBA, WNBA and NBA G League, we will speak to the basketball community. Our collaboration goes beyond the court — it’s about inspiring a lifestyle that reflects the passion, energy, and dedication to the game itself.”
“For the past decade, Tissot has been a valued partner of the NBA, WNBA and NBA G League because of its commitment to innovation, precision and creativity,” said LaRocca. “We look forward to furthering our mutual commitment to those principles, starting with the unveiling of the redesigned Tissot shot clock that will make it easier for players and fans to follow the game.”
The global marketing partnership extension will come to life across marquee NBA events, including the Emirates NBA Cup, NBA All-Star, NBA Draft presented by State Farm®, NBA 2K Summer League and NBA Global Games. The renewal also represents Tissot’s continued investment in the WNBA and women’s sports, following the introduction of the Tissot Seastar Wilson® WNBA watches prior to the 2024 WNBA season as well as the brand’s continued collaboration with Tissot Ambassador and 2024 WNBA Champion Sabrina Ionescu.
A New Era of the NBA and WNBA Tissot Shot Clock
The redesigned shot clock is equipped with advanced technology and a distinctive round design inspired by Tissot’s watchmaking heritage. While it bears a round shape, its digits are the same size and colors as on the previous shot clock, maintaining the same feel and consistency.
Setting it apart from the previous version is the full RGB LED light strips feature, which will allow the redesigned shot clock to illuminate with any color rather than just the standard red/amber used in the prior iteration. The advanced technology will introduce new game presentation and basketball operations capabilities, including the integration of the green coaches’ challenge signal into the system. From a performance standpoint, the user interface has been improved to allow for more streamlined operation, which will enhance the speed and accuracy of the staff who run the system each game. Other system upgrades include a modernized signaling distribution system that will enable advanced functionality and monitoring tools.
With a streamlined 20% lighter aluminum frame, the new shot clock offers easier installation and handling. The modular design simplifies on-site maintenance, hardware replacements and future upgrades to match the evolution of the game. The new shot clocks will be rolled out in arenas, beginning with the 2025-26 NBA season and the 2026 WNBA season.
Introducing the Tissot Supersport NBA Special Edition 2025 Watch
Complementing the new shot clock and building on the success of the 2022 NBA Strap Collection, the Swiss watchmaker also unveiled the new Tissot Supersport NBA Special Edition 2025 watch today. The watch face displays numbers inspired by uniform numbers, while the second hand features the NBA logo. A textured dial evokes the look of a basketball, and on the back of the case, the NBA logo is surrounded by the cities and states the 30 NBA teams take their names from arranged by conference: Western Conference teams are positioned on the left while Eastern Conference teams are on the right. The watch will be available for purchase exclusively in Tissot Boutiques in France and US and online at Official Website | Tissot® Official Website as of Jan. 23 and rolled out as of March worldwide.
