NEW YORK – NBA Commissioner Adam Silver released the following statement regarding the passing of Helen DeVos, the wife of Orlando Magic Senior Chairman Rich DeVos:

“I am saddened to learn of the passing of Helen DeVos.  For nearly 30 years, Helen deepened the bond between the Orlando Magic and the people of Central Florida, inspiring players and the team to give back to the community just as she did in so many meaningful ways.  On behalf of the NBA family, our hearts go out to her husband, Rich; their children, Dick, Dan, Cheri and Doug; the entire DeVos family and Magic organization; and her many friends.”
