Bulls’ Richard Hamilton suspended one game

NEW YORK – Chicago Bulls guard Richard Hamilton has been suspended one game without pay for throwing an elbow and making contact with the face of Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.

The incident, for which Hamilton was assessed a Flagrant Foul Two and ejected, occurred with 5:33 remaining in the third quarter of Toronto’s 97-88 win over Chicago on April 12, at Air Canada Centre.

Hamilton will serve his suspension on Sunday, April 14, when the Bulls face the Miami Heat at AmericanAirlines Arena.
