NBA and Movistar+ celebrate 25 years with expanded partnership

MADRID – Ahead of the 2020 NBA Finals tipping off tonight at 03:00am CET Movistar+ (Telefonica Audiovisual Digital, S.L.U) and the National Basketball Association (NBA) announced today a multiyear expansion of their existing broadcast partnership, building on the 25 consecutive seasons that Movistar+ has served as the NBA’s official broadcast partner in Spain.

The expanded partnership features hundreds of live NBA games on Movistar+ each season, including every week throughout the regular season, all Playoffs and Finals games, NBA All-Star, as well as original NBA programming.  Fans can also look forward to weekend games in primetime in Spain, including a weekly game on #Vamos, as well as the return of popular weekly studio show “Generacion NBA+” and the daily NBA-themed newservice “NBA al Día.”  The 2020-21 NBA schedule will be announced at a later date.

As part of the expanded partnership, NBA League Pass, the league’s premium live game subscription service, will be available for Movistar customers to purchase at a discounted price through the Emoción portal, Movistar’s content platform for mobile devices, allowing fans to watch games anywhere and at any time.

“We are thrilled to celebrate 25 years of the NBA on Movistar+ with this expanded partnership,” said NBA EME Vice President, Global Media Distribution, Elsa Memmi.  “We want to thank Movistar for their passion and commitment in reaching this milestone with us. Our passionate fans in Spain will continue to enjoy comprehensive live NBA game coverage, highlights and programming for years to come.”

We know that #dormiresdecobardes*.”
